I am absolutely thrilled to introduce myself as your new principal, along with a team of highly qualified administrators. We are excited to share our vision for the school as we prepare our children for the future workforce. In a world enduring constant change, we are committed to equipping our students with the skills, knowledge, and mindset they need to succeed in their future endeavors. We are excited to partner with parents, teachers, and community members to achieve these goals. Your support and involvement are key to our success. Together, we can inspire and prepare our students for a bright future.

As a lifelong Bulldog, I plan to promote a culture of no excuses, mastery for all, a profit mindset, and an exhaustive work ethic. Its foundations will rest upon the pillars of high expectations and accountability.

A Fun fact - I’d love to open my own food truck one day.

Dr. Joseph Crifo

I’ve had the privilege of serving the Lindenhurst community for the past two years and relish the opportunity to continue working with the students and families of the Junior Class in my capacity as an Assistant Principal. In addition to overseeing the Class of 2026, I also serve as one of the Advanced Placement coordinators for the school and organize Regent’s exam testing. Prior to joining the Lindenhurst community, I taught AP Biology, Living Environment, as well as Anatomy and Physiology at Longwood High School.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Binghamton University as well as a doctorate from St. John’s University where I examined the influence of a working knowledge of the basics of computer science on student geometry proficiency rates.  I look forward to the upcoming school year and working with our students to make them the best possible versions of themselves so that they will be ready to handle any opportunity that life offers them.

I have been an Assistant Principal at Lindenhurst High School for 12 years. I build the high school's master schedule each year. I hold a Bachelor's degree from St. John's University, a Master's degree from The University of Arizona, and a doctoral degree from St. John's University.  During my time off I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children.

Mr. Daniel Royle

I graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, followed by a Master’s in Business Education. After teaching for 15 years, I earned my School Building/District Leadership certificate from Stony Brook University.

My career began in the Levittown School District as a Business Teacher. I then spent 12 years at West Babylon High School, where I served as a teacher, dean, and eventually as the president of the West Babylon Teachers Association.

Currently, I am responsible for overseeing building security, conducting drills, and continuously reviewing our emergency response plan. In addition, I conduct numerous teacher observations throughout the year and manage non-instructional personnel within the building.

My educational philosophy centers on preparing students for success beyond the classroom by emphasizing critical thinking, adaptability, and real-world problem-solving skills. I believe education should extend beyond academic achievements, equipping students with the practical competencies needed to navigate life’s challenges. My goal is for students to leave high school not only well-prepared for their career journey but also resilient enough to handle the complexities of an ever-changing world.

Before becoming an administrator, I coached football and lacrosse for many years. I firmly believe that extracurricular activities impart valuable life lessons that can stay with students long after they leave school. As a father of three, I am deeply committed to always keeping the best interests of the students in mind.

I received my Advanced Study certificates in Building and District Leadership from the College of St. Rose.  I have a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Queens College.  I began her teaching career in Bayside High School.  After teaching mathematics courses and special education students, I filled in as Department Coordinator before obtaining my position as Assistant Principal in Lindenhurst in 2014.  My main responsibility includes overseeing The Lindenhurst Academy.  I have always had a passion for education and helping others.  I believe all students can be successful; they just need an opportunity and guidance in determining their path.

I enjoy traveling and being a mom to four children in my time away from work.

Ms. Kimberly Valk

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Health Education and a Master's in TESOL from LIU Post. Following that, I pursued a post-master's certificate in Educational Leadership for School Building Leader and School District Leader at Stony Brook University. My professional experience includes teaching Health and ENL in the NYC Department of Education, where I developed a passion for engaging diverse student populations. I later took on the roles of Health Teacher and Dean at the West Babylon School District, where I had the opportunity to mentor students and collaborate with staff on initiatives that enhanced the school environment.

I am thrilled to be part of the Lindenhurst School District, where I am eager to contribute to the community, staff, and students. I believe in the importance of building meaningful relationships and creating an inclusive school culture. I enjoy working closely with students to encourage their participation in school activities and help them develop essential skills for success in life beyond high school. I am in charge of clubs, substitutes, eligibility, and social media for the High School.

Outside of my professional life, I am a passionate animal lover. I have two dogs and a horse, with whom I spend a lot of my free time. Additionally, I find balance and relaxation through practicing yoga, which helps me maintain a healthy and mindful lifestyle.
